Masters of the Hidden Ball Trick

In my previous posts about delayed steals, someone (Wolf Hopper? Skip?) mentioned the hidden ball trick. Who were some of the masters of this? The only one that I can think of in recent memory was Marty Barrett the Boston second baseman who was riefly the '86 World Series MVP.

Gene Michael was a master at it.

And, I know Dave Bergman was gifted at it as well.

I don't know how often he did it, but I remember watching This week in Baseball and seeing Jim Spencer pull off the "old fake throw to the pitcher" trick.

That was Bergman's trick too.

I think he got Ozzie Guillen twice.
