Have any ideas? We need/want more to participate in these forums. Suggestions are always welcomed. Thanks.
I already mentioned Turtle Wax. :)
I honestly don't know. You already said you put the word out, and that was a nice plug at BB.com, by the way... ;)
Is there a way to get your site featured somewhere else, to get more exposure?

I have one hope in the hopper on that - - don't want to say more and put the whammy on it. Stay tuned.

Here's an idea - most of us here post in "other" forums too, no? If each of us got one person to come over and just try this forum too, I bet some might stay, or visit once in a while, and may even just bring some friends too. Anyone willing to make the effort to get just one recruit?
Don't forget to get credit for the referral. (See "faq" on referrals for more.)

I tried - but it turns out that he was already here, with a slightly different username. :)
I invited a friend of mine to join, and he said he loved the site, but felt too shy to post. Matt - if you're reading this - sign on and post ya wimp!

Yeah, Matt, no need to be shy. All are welcome! This is an open forum - no ideas, etc., are rejected. Debated, maybe. Cast out - heck no. Please give it a try! No strings.
Related, I know many just like to "read" rather than post - that's fine. But, go that route only after first giving posting a try. It really is fun. Look at me, I'm doing it now!
:cool2:
Have you thought about maybe using peanut butter on pine cones??? (Yes, I think the heat is finally getting to me!!!) Hahahaaa! Maybe people don't post here because they don't feel cool enough, Net. I mean, after all, the name of the place is NET SHRINE...it could be percieved as a holy place and some people can't get over their feelings of inadequacies and unworthiness. Ya see what I'm saying? You need to employ some missionaries to spread the good word...lord knows I've been trying but people are afraid of me, they look at me like I'm a blabbering, drunken idiot. (Which I am, sometimes!) ;) I'll keep trying, though, and Matt, come on, POST, will ya? Net's right, posting is FUN, posting is GOOD, posting keeps you out of trouble for a little while (at least!). :)

No go Jen. If that were the case, then the Bunny Ranch would be out of business too. :agree:
You're right, Net, what was I thinking? :D

Just submitted the link to the forum to Yahoo.
Any suggestions on other places it can be added?

You may already do this - but if you were to, say, send an email to some sportswriter (say, Rob Neyer), include your website address after your signature. If you're lucky, they'll check the place out.
Here's another idea - when I was in High School, the one thing that'd always draw plenty of crowds and raise tons of money - the 'girls-in-swimsuits' carwash.

:loud: Nice idea on the car wash!
I've tried the free plugs - - many never bite, meaning are will to provide them.
I've got the towel in my hand, and it's ready to be tossed! :(

Alot of people feel the need to talk baseball, or be with the same ilk. Many fan forums are my team is #1 and you suck! Big turn off! I still check out 6 other teams and my teams forum, but whenever someone groans about the spam, I plug the Shrine.
People are searching. Just need to find them at the right time, as in any business. That is the best I can do.

Hey Net -- haven't been back in a bit...sorry -- things got crazy but the board does look great and is a bit different than the few others I'm on -- I like that! :) ...
just so you know -- that survivor style game worked on me -- roped me right in, lol....I'll spread the word a bit...there are a few of my friends who may feel more comfortable here than some other boards -- it's a little more relaxed and they make like that better...one you know already...I promise to do my part and spread the word a bit!! :)
