Which team do you think will win the most games during the regular season? Let's not consider postseason right now.

I would not be surprised to see the Yankees and Red Sox finish 1-2 in wins

Braves. Bobby Cox is the greatest living manager.

I'd guess the A's, although tough divisional opponents might make it tough. No patsies in the AL West, while the Yanks and Sox get to load up on victories against the O's and Rays.

I'll go with Oakland. The Big Three are going to have another great year. The Giants will have second best record. :D

Oakland.

The A's. But if things break right for the white sox, given their division, they could certainly pile up the wins in a hurry.

Oakland, with the same logic that Craig used above.....

I picked Oakland but it could be any of several teams.

I'm saying Oakland, and they are the only team I have down for 100 wins this year, although I have several in the 90s. This contrasts with the four teams I expect to lose 100 or more.

I was a complete :homer: and picked Boston. I'm inclined to say Oakland for my "real" pick.
I don't think there will be a team with 100 wins when it's all said and done.

Philly. Their young pitching matures this year and Thome takes the offense over the top. 103-59

Wow.
I can't believe I don't see the Cardinals as one of the choices on that list. I mean, after all, with
1) The best lineup in the league,
2) The best defense in both leagues,
3) An underrated pitching staff that will be helped tremendously by both of the above,
4) A runaway defending division champion
5) A still relatively young team essentially unchanged personnelwise over the last few years,
6) Character earned the hard way,
7) Post-season experience,
8) Another Walt Jocketty trading-deadline steal waiting to happen,
9) A recent history of catching fire after the All-Star break,
10) Dave Duncan and a handful of pitching retreads,
at the very least, they gotta be in the running.

-a tough division
-a bunch of injuries
-a decimated pitching staff counting on a couple of retreads
yes, a case could be made for them....or the white sox....or the giants...
however, there are currently 0 votes for 'other', so who did you vote for if not the Cardinals?
The Yankees are strong, deep and can afford to get what they need. The Yankees have Tb and balt in their division. I like the yankees to win the most games.

That was my thinking too.
Weird.
I picked the BoSox to win the AL East over the NYY (although that change may have come after I posted in the AL East thread here).
However, when I think most wins, I think the NYY have a greater upside potential than the Sox. In other words, the NYY (if they win the division) are more likely to lead MLB in wins than the BoSox are if they win the division. I won't be surprised to see the Sox win the East but not lead MLB in wins, but ...
Since I think the AL East has the best combination of top feeders and dreck, I'll go with whoever wins the AL East also leading MLB in wins. Since I picked the Sox to win the division, I also voted them here.
