I know that Seth Swirsky's book has letters from a diverse group of celebrities and politicians, including President Bush. He'll be coming out to the Hall of Fame later this year--probably in mid to late July--to do a presentation and book signing.

I should clarify that last posting. SETH SWIRSKY will be coming out to the Hall later this year, not President Bush. Sorry if that last posting was misleading.

...there are few things as boring as the "as told to" books of athletes...there HAVE to be better choices out there!

Somebody gave me this one, but I've barely flipped through it so far. Cute, but not my type of baseball book.

I heard that Kitty talks about how aloof Mike Mussina is in his book and how when Moose was having his difficulties last year, Kitty tried to point something out to him and he just ignored him completely. You can tell that Kitty kind of has a problem with him because he always has to mention that Mike is from Stanford. In the game yesterday, they were talking about how Moose lost the ability to throw the fastball to the first-base side of the plate and Mike just couldn't figure out what he was doing wrong the whole year. Kitty said something to the effect of "I can't believe that Mike Mussina, being FROM STANFORD, couldn't figure out something for a whole year." :D
