What is the best macho movie ever made? To be considered a "macho movie", it must contain most of these characteristics:
* The villain has no redeeming qualities.
* Things will be blown up.
* Guns will be fired and meaningless characters will be killed.
* The main character won't say much but he will say some catchy things.
* A woman or child will be kidnapped.
* There will be hand-to-hand combat to prove who is really the toughest.
* Someone will have a very cool vehicle.

Die Hard, although I don't believe he has a really cool vehicle.

Well, it ain't "How To Make an American Quilt"...
For me...macho movies bore me senseless, unless there's some other redeeming qualities, like Steve McQueen...

The "Dirty Harry" movies were the first things that occurred to me, although I don't remember any of them having "cool vehicles" either.....

No, but he certainly had the lines.

Good choice. I never got why so many people hated that one.
I hated it. Stupid. But then, I like some Seagal/van Damme movies. Maybe I'm just age-ist?

Subconsciously, people probably have an issue with a movie called "XXX" starring "V.D."

Have to ditto Max on Commando. The quintessential Arnold movie.

true macho movies must have a single component that has yet to have been touched upon: it must be so horrendously, laughably male that any girl in the vincinity immediately cringes at the sight or sound of it.
My choice remains the immortal Roadhouse. Patrick Swayze as a philosophising bouncer from NYU. Sam Elliot as the grizzled mentor. A rival evil bouncer, and a club called the double deuce. I'm in heaven.
And now if you will please excuse me, I am going to check TBS and see if its on.
:D Great choice say-hey. A great, laughably bad, testosterone fest. Right up there with the Van Damme collection.
