thru 1997 who was the only player to hit a hr for and against the yanks in ws play

That would be Bill Skowron who homered for the Yanks in '55, '56, '58, '59, and '60 and homered for the Dodgers against the Yanks in '63.

I could see no evidence that since 1997 this has occurred either.
