What non-American pitcher won 15+ ten times in addition to finishing in the Top Ten for Ks (in his league) 15 times in a 17 year period? Come on, from your head, without looking it up. :nono:

The first impluse is to think of Latino players (My first thought was Marichal), but in fact the answer is Bert Blyleven, who was born in the Netherlands.

Correct John!
Was this one too easy?
I tried to throw some of the track with the non-native mention.

No, it was hard. Also throwing you off track was talking about wins initially instead of K's. When you think about wins, you go nuts, because there isn't a Latino player with more than 250. (I think Dennis Martinez is tops somewhere in the 240's.)

Once you focus on K's, you mentally roll down the list of K leaders, and you come upon Blyleven quickly (Ryan, Carlton, Blyleven). Then I thought, "Hey, wait a minute...isn't he Dutch?"

Funny - I was going to do HRs allowed (not Ks) - - but thought that would point to Bert even faster!
