Okay, here are 3 more:

Luis Aparicio - Carl Yastrzemski - Pete Rose

Again, they've all done something kind of similar. Nobody else can be included in this group.

What sets them apart?

Does this involve some sort of tenure accomplishment?

Good question - it's a stats question, but the tenure of the 3 guys definitely helped them with their achievements.

It's somewhat similar to my last tough linking question, although I'd guess this one will be tougher. There's not an easy link or anything between the three.

My guess would be on them being the only players with 100 hits in their first 18 seasons?

Not what I'm looking for, but the "hits" category does have to do with one of those players. They each represent a statistical category, and a certain achievement within it.

I'm guessing Rose has something to do with hits, and Aparicio with SBs.

Stolen bases aren't one of the categories. They are hits, runs, and RBI's. But Rose isn't the hits one.

Okay, no guesses lately so it's time to make it easier.

Like I said, the categories are runs, hits and RBI's. As with one of my previous link questions, the 3 guys I listed - Aparicio, Yaz and Rose - each accomplished something in one of these categories without accomplishing something.

Longevity definitely played a part in allowing them to do this.

Luis - Most career R w/o ever having 100 in a season
Yaz - Most career H w/o ever having 200 in a season
Rose - Most career RBI w/o ever having 100 in a season

Thanks for the hints

Beautiful - exactly what I was looking for!

I couldn't believe how far down the list I had to go for the runs and RBI category.

Aparicio - 86th in runs
Yaz - 6th in hits
Rose - 77th in RBI

Good job, YL.
