Before Barry Bonds and John Olerud both reached base 15 straight times in 1998, who held the NL record and how many times was it?

Hint: It happened in the mid 1980s, by a player who, in his 15-year career, only had an OBA above .400 in two seasons.

How about Pedro Guerrero in 1985 ???

According to baseballlibrary.com:

"In 1985 Guerrero tied a major league record with 15 HR in June, en route to tying the Los Angeles record of 33. He also reached base 14 consecutive times that year, two shy of Ted Williams's record, and led the league in slugging, on-base and home run percentage."

Great job! I figured it would be a pretty tough one!
Guerrero, as Boomer pointed out, reached base 14 straight times in late July 1985.
