Just a guess here - Jocko Flynn with 23 in 1886?

Aye, it was that fine Irish lad Jocko Flynn. 1886 was the only season he pitched in but in 1887 he also appeared in one game as an outfielder with no AB's. Couldn't find any reason for his brief career but repectability was usually an issue in those days.
