View Full Version : Lost, Lazy, or Apathetic?

I was just looking at the active threads over the last 30 days.............

In the "Baseball History" forum there was one thread that had to be merged.

In the "Seventh Inning Stretch" forum there was one thread that had to be moved and two that had to be merged.

In the "Active Player News, Analysis, & Commentary" forum there were SIX threads that had to be merged.

In the "Hot Baseball Chatter" forum, there were three threads that had to be merged and FOURTEEN that had to be moved.

What can it be? Is finding the right forum still that hard here? Or, are people just lazy or don't care?

The dupe thread thing - leading to a merge - I can see. It's the thing about dumping everything into HBC that has me puzzled.

Back on 5/18/02, we moved HBC from the top of the list to the middle - because this was a problem back then too. It's not working.

Any ideas? All would be appreciated. Thanks.

The numbers of threads needed to be moved doesn't seem too much to me, what is it in relation the number of all new threads? You'd probably have x% placed in the wrong subject in any case.

I don't start many threads, but the times I have I've sometimes had to wonder where to place it.

Sorry I have no concrete suggestion, I just wonder if the number of threads needing moving isn't too big. After all, you just passed the 100,000 message total! Congrats

Don't sweat it. That comes to less than one a day on a very structured and fairly heavily used site. Between you and the Mods, that's not too much to keep on top of ... and some are tough calls anyway. Speaking as a Mod, its not a big hassle to me. Speaking as a member, I don't think the site has lost focus or structure or whatever.

Rich, Skip - thanks - - it is mostly HBC - - right now, there are 89 threads active over the last 30 days there - - and, of the 89, 15 had to be moved - - that's a pretty high % - - - - 17%.

Skip - - maybe it's just me, but, it seems like I'm moving the bulk of them - - - maybe that's why I'm the only one who seems to be bothered by this?

I guess the best approach is to keep reminding those posting in error of where to post things...........
