Somebody, please, help me!

Have you seen the new commerical for the Mercedes SUV (the one where the guy gets mud splashed on his goggles in one shot)?

What music are they playing on the commerical?

They've taken something (which I swear I know) and redone it with strings.

Saw the commerical five times tonight and it's driving me mad. I know that I know this song.

Can anyone name that tune?

I have seen it once and it was towards the end that I was seeing the one you meant...to late to make any judgment on the song. If they don't play it during NFL games, then I will be of no help. I think my baseball watching has come to a close this year.

What will it take? Beats the heck outta me, besides, I don't know it either, I just have that awful new movie promo in my head and I find myself muttering "I'll never tell" at times, it's annoying.

Let me ask the music guru I live with, he's a genius at picking up background music in commercials...I'll get back to you. (All hope is not yet lost!)

It's the funniest thing, Net. Ever since I said I'd try to help, I haven't seen the commercial once. Sorry. Maybe you should call Mercedes. :rolleyes: Good luck.

God - - I've only seen it 25 times since - - - - - guess it's run during a lot of baseball and ESPN programming.

Still driving me :dizzy:

I did check the Mercedes site - nothing there.

Update: BTW, never did find this tune - - but, thanks to the MGD commerical with the girl in the leather pants, I no longer care. The advertisers have given me a new obsession. ;)

Glad you've moved on to brighter pastures, Net, and I can't believe I still haven't seen that commercial ONCE since you asked about it. Not that I'm complaining, I am soooooo sick of car commercials. Which brings me to another question I have...why do they need to advertise cars and beer at all? People pretty much know what they like in either catagory, correct? Seems like a huge waste of $$$.
And I'm glad the World Series is over so I won't have to see United wasting my tax bail-out money on stupid ads telling me it's safe to fly with them and I should go somewhere to feel better about my life...if I had some of my own tax money back, I might feel better about my life. Jeez. :rolleyes:

MF, they're playing that Mercedes SVU Commerical again.

I saw it last night on the 11 PM SportsCenter and again this AM on the TODAY show.

Is that the same one that Yupper East Side marketing whiz drove into some taunting crowd in a hissy fit? Even if not, it's called "SUV", as in Sports Utility Vehicle. I hate correcting you on this but that's the truth.

As to combining car and beer commercials, cute but w/DWI on the horizon, that may not be such a great combo.
