hey guys.

My name is Sebastian Bosworth but most of my friends and people I know just call me Boz. My friends, who have also created accounts, wanted me to make an account as well.

I have read abit on here, and I have seen that there may be an overabundance of Yankee fans. I must say I'm a Yanks fan too. I love everything about them, their history and tradition. But I must say I'm more of an overall baseball fan than anything.

I study pitchers from all eras. My favs being Warren Spahn,Bob Gibson,Nolan Ryan,Sandy Koufax,Steve Carlton,Tom Seaver,Ron Guidry and Roger Clemens. I lean toward the power pitchers who rely on strength and intimidation. I want to study guys like Cy Young,Christy Mathewson,Walter Johnson,Grover Alexander,Bob Feller,Carl Hubbard and Lefty Gomez as soon as I have a little time and can find some good material on them.

As soon as we get moved into our new abode I will be posting regularly here. I look forward to many discussions with you guys.

Welcome also from me ... though I'm now willing to vote in favor of affirmative action programs to support the membership of non-NYY fans.

Maybe a program to bus in fans from other teams?

Rocket22-

Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! Don't listen to those cranky posters behind the the terminal screens. Any friend of my boy Clemens is a friend of mine! All baseball fans are always welcomed at the shrine!

I am a long time follower of Clemens and only wish he would fufill his 19 year old dream (back when he wore 21 proudly).

Happy posting! You'll fit in great! Can't wait to see your next post!:bounce:

Based on post totals or something, some teams would have to distribute their registered fans to others for a season. I know I really look foward to Pirate fan Moose (aka DocEllis), Diamondbacks fan Lee (aka azd1wc), and Max Power (aka Cthulu) rooting home the Reds. :D

This sounds very familiar to me, Rocket22 - I describe myself similarly. Welcome to NDF - you'll have fun and learn a lot here. There's a tremendous knowledge base, including expertise in great historial material you are interested in. I am in awe of the stuff some of the people here know! Have a look around the "Baseball Library" section for study suggestions.

Cthulu indeed! I guess you guys are above that. Anyway, welcome again R22 - though it appears we are posting to ourselves here.

Walter Johnson: Baseball's Big Train is good.
Christy Mathewson: Pitching in a Pinch is a book that I'm looking forward to reading.

If you have any questions relating to whether a book is good or not or if you just want to discuss one, check out the Baseball Library. (just doing my part)

Welcome!

Welcome aboard - we need all the true baseball fans we can get, even those suffering from "bronx bomber syndrome"

Many happy postings
