:loud: You're talking to a guy who hasn't had a good night's sleep in about seven years!
Wish I knew.
On average, I get about 6 hours per night - but, I usually wake up around two times a night. Usually, it's because my mind is racing - not because of physical energy. Sometimes, my dogs will wake me up in the middle of the night - - for various reasons. My problem is, once I'm up, it takes me about 30-60 minutes to fall back to sleep.
I've heard it all - watch TV, read, count sheep, I once posted somewhere in here about counting Yankee players by uniform number, you name it.
As sad as it is to say, I think drugs may help - 'tho I just can't bring myself to take a pill just to get to sleep. :(
Over here, over here! I sleep for shit. But then I think it's because I don't over-exert myself during my waking hours so why should I need sleep? Lazy, lazy me.
Anyway, yeah, I've dealt with insomnia for the past 10 years and drugs are the only thing that work for me. And Net, it took me a long time to get over the initial "I'm not taking drugs just to fall asleep" thing, too. But it's the only thing that does it for me. Hmrsf, hope you get some zzzzz's, any way you can. :)
Good luck.

It seems to be a 4day cycle, crash the 5th. Well day two usually id not sooooo bad, but on the 5th day:sleeping:
So I guess I can always late night post! Thanks for the reply. And I will pass on the Yanks by #. Was done on the Yankee forum and I wrote them all down and that would be cheating. Pluss the Yanks tend to keep me up at night, being a seasonally depressed Sox fan.

When the Soxs win or lose. Win, I stay up all night watching the rebroadcast, over and over again. (don't laugh but I was convinced that they might not win another game) Or if they lose I have bad indigestion. Well, at least it is not an off day, the mind spins out of control searching for the missing link. This year has been a bad year for sleep! Thanks for the well wishes, day % always comes.....eventually

When the Yanks blow a close game, I can NEVER sleep. I'm all :redhot: inside. Sometimes it can take hours before I fall asleep.
Heard a MD on the radio coming home talking about this - he recommends exercise for sleep - - and, in those cases where your mind is racing (about work, or the WTC, or whatever) he recommends getting busy on something to take your mind off the worry (before retiring). Sounds like it could work?

Sounds like it could work? You and I heard the same doc. He said no booze either. Maybe that is where I am going wrong.
Years ago, I used to get too wrapped up in the outcome of games. As some of you know by know, I am a bigger hockey fan than I am baseball. I used to get so uptight watching the Rangers, especially in the post-season, I'd actually vomit after the games. I should say this was limited to the post season. When I grew up, I just knew I could not live my life that way. At the end of the day, it is only a game and I am only a fan.

Something 'bout your family, me, and the Radio Buzz - - Mex and I each heard "DS" talk about the flag on WINS at the same time too. :D
Vomiting? I can see that. It is amazing the hold this stuff gets on us - esp. as youngsters. I had those days where I thought my head was going to :splat: too.

No late night jogging! Small town police departments get real jumpy when they see people running late at night.

That's nothing - the maniacs at my gym at work run carrying these weight sticks. You ain't seen nothing until you see 10 people running at 6 in the morning all carrying 5 foot long metal rods. I think they had to end up warning the police that it was OK.

I am 5'2, and pose no great threat. I guess they were wondering what I was running from? How do you tell them, I could't get past #2 on the all time RS list.:makepuke:
I have dying to use that icon.
