The Internet is sluggish all over today. Apparently there's a new virus (worm, actually) making it's way around the Internet at lightening speed. It's another mass-mailing worm like sircam.
It may be spreading like wildfire since so many people have been e-mailing attachments to each other in the wake of the attacks.
So a lot of people are seeing readme.exe and not even hesitating to open it.
According to ZDNet and Wired.com, it's contributing to a heavy traffic load on the net and taking down quite a few servers (Microsoft NT, naturally) along the way.
