With Matt Hasselbeck the starter right now, I don't think it's a question of who has the greater ability. But with Holmgren as the coach (and who is standing by Hasselbeck), and George's reputation, what are his chances?

If Holmgren has any sense he will start me before he starts George. Ol' Jeff is a game plan killer. If the game plan isn't "long and strong" he can't do it.

Jeff George already should have been starting somewhere else - like Washington.

The guy has a great big arm and no heart. None.
Seattle's in trouble no matter what now. See ya Holmgren.

I don't care who starts, both of them suck. And Jeff George makes me long for Ryan Leaf...
Holmgren basically signed his own pink slip with this one. Thanks for making us miss Erickson...

A former co-worker had a great quote about George. "Jeff George is too dumb to run the West Coast offense." Throw in that awfull attitude of his and he's a receipe for disaster on the Seahawks.

It won't matter much.....if Holmgren has to use him, they'll both be gone after the season. Maybe Holmgren is realizing he shoulda stayed in Green Bay.........

Jeff George is to football as Kevin Mitchell was to baseball.

I bet he'll be the starter within 3 games. Not that it will do any good.

Poor Seattle fans.
Where's Chuck Knox and the O.G. Curt Warner when ya need them?

I would settle for Tom Flores and Derrick Fenner at this point, anything over Holmgren. Nothing against Alexander, I was just thinking you had a package deal with coach and RB.
I wonder if I can say anything bad about Holmgren that I haven't already said...my dislike for him is very great.

Jeff George and Ryan Leaf may have been the biggest wastes of talent ever. George is such a coach killer. When things are going well he is in the front of the line wanting money, celebrity etc. But when things are going bad he is the first to start pointing fingers and blaming everyone but himself.
Jeff George = Jason Williams (The Memphis version)

The only difference between Jeff George and Ryan Leaf is that I would WANT Ryan Leaf on my team. Yes, WSU bias, but at least Ryan Leaf doesn't try to beat up his coach...he merely beats up the media, which is just fine with me.
I'd take anyone over Hasselback though...I hope that like Holmgren, Hasselback does not come back to Seattle next year.
