A Cadillac pick-up truck? Would that ever be used to haul anything? The Mini-Cooper is extremely popular around here. I am spotting more and more all the time. If only we could all the SUV owners to drive Coopers. :D

My wife hates it, but I think my car made it in 1966, a 1966 Mustang Convertible. Not great in the winter though. With winter coming on, I've sadly got to garage it and shift to the family sedan.:(

Last year hm bought her first brand new car. I told my husband that I wanted a new car with a sunroof. He  He took my old car out for an errand and was visably shakened. "Why have you not complained about this death trap!" I told him that I am ALWAYS complaining about the car. "He said the color's ugly and radio doesn't work is not what he is talking about. Wheels falling off and doors not working are a problem."
So he looked in consumer reports and I dreamed of BIG sunroofs. I could careless about new cars. He told me" it would serve me right if I got a 1987 chevette with a big sunroof. "That sounded fine to me!!!!
It has been one year and I still love my suberu forester. The sunroof is so big that people in back seat can enjoy it. I know it is a girly car but I know my husband likes it too. He was mad that they changed the body style on the new modle this year. I am glad we bought last year because I would not change one thing in my car.:D

I have a sticker on the back of my '87 Volvo sedan that says,
Jesus Hates Your SUV!.
It's a real icebreaker.
My wife drives a soccermom mini SUV. 4 cylinders.
It's not on the list.

That is priceless!
If you like your volvo, look at the suburu forester. Yes it is a mini suv but it is great on gas, has all wheel drive all the time. Hanldes rain great! Have not hydoplaned in years! My last suburu almost saw 200,000 miles. I have 22,000 on a 1 year old car. I love it so much that I should have it for 8-10 years.
Look for a lease that comes up if you don't want new. They don't depreciate much thou. Not cheap but.......cheaper than volvo and the 2002 surpassed the vovlo in crash testing.
Spit, start a thread in SOC about bumber stickers!

Around here, I want to be surrounded by good old American steel. My '77 Blazer(full size) is an ugly gas hog but the air works and the stereo rocks and when we camp at the Red Sea it carries us and our trailer up and down the escarpment without fail.

Good for you Angel. I believe that people should have what they want. I just wanted people to post if they liked their car and if it was a good buy.
Can't tell you how many bad cars I have owned. This is my first new car. One year later I still love it. I was afraid I would hate it before we were done paying for it.;) I have never really been into cars before. I am now that I have one that I like!!!

My wife has already informed me that when we leave here she's getting a new STS Seville. I'll keep my Blazer and my Road King.
Hated my wife's car since the day she picked it. Am sick to death of mine but figure I'll drive it a few more years. I'm not really into cars much anyway, so the fact that I don't care for the cars isn't that big a deal. We plan to replace my wife's car this fall, but have no idea what to get yet - some sort of small-mid size sedan, I suppose.

That reminds me of this odd car I saw on vacation 2 years ago. I took a picture of it. It had 3 wheels! People stopped on the street to look at it. It was very strange.

I bought my Mustang brand new in '99. It was the 35th anniversary edition. The only thing is I wish I would have opted for the V-8 as mine is not too quick. Although I have had it up to about 115:rockon: If I get the new job i am interviewing for I will probably get the Roush racing version of the Mustang.

How about a '79 Chevy fullsize P/U with the 350? How can you not love that? Every 20 years you scrape what's left of the bed off and put a fresh one on the rails.
Karen got herself a Prizm. Did you know it's the most reliable car ever built for under $10K? Of course, it took Toyota to make a reliable small American car.

My Jeep Cherokee didn't make it, although I absolutely LOVE it! But we're about to get an Audi TT for my wife (before we saw the list) and will pick it up probably this weekend.
Fun car.
Trading in her Miata (another fun car) for the Audi. Although people found it amusing when they saw a 6'1" 260lb. man (me) getting into it. The Miata came up to my sternum. Rather funny.

I adore our '97 Honda Civic, and fully intend to buy another Honda when the time comes to replace it . Mind you, we are not big drivers - as you know I am a new driver, and neither of us commutes by car (or ever will, hopefully), so we have put only about 26k miles on the car in the five years we've owned it. I love that little car. 38mpg city/45mpg hwy, handles pretty well and doesn't feel like you are driving in a tiny tinfoil box like some small cars.
I hate SUVs with a violent, homicidal passion. When I am ruler of the world I will ban them and pull off the toenails of their owners. :splat:
I don't anticipate we'll ever own two cars between us. I really don't want to.

With 4 kids, we are minivan/station wagon people. SUVs are way too expensive. I own a Chrysler Town & Country and a Ford Taurus wagon, both bought used.

I just went through a small host of problems with my '94 Nissan Sentra. However, they were all related to the mechanic who was replacing the CV joints. I love my little car. It will have over 207,000 miles by the end of the week.(I am currentky commuting between Charlotte and Greensbor, NC) I replaced the brake pads recently and was told not to expect to get to 300k. Ha! Now I am determined to make it. I'll even change the oil more frequently than once ever 10000 miles:)

in dc, i use my feet, bike, and the city bus....and i bum rides from people. back home, used to love my cherokee sport, but not so much after the rear tires gave out and it skidded on slick pavement on a curve at 20 mph, sending me against a wall.
honda odysseys should be banned on I-95.

Now Satch, you have met me and my toenails. Is my mini SUV and my toenails safe from you? Little car for short women without phones. Great on gas. :D
