Is it just me or are Fridays always quiet around here? If so, why is that?

nooooo. that question concerned a general time frame of quietness, not a repeated pattern of friday quietness.

Somewhere, in another thread, the Friday thing has been discussed - - and, I think there were some stats in that thread too - - - - it is slower on Friday and the W/E - - which means most post while at work. Let me see if I can find that thread............

that's what I was suspecting. but what % of the population gets friday's off from work? usually friday's at work are less hectic which would give one more time to post, no?

Friday is 'get-away day' and I'll bet lots of folks who normally would cruise by for some evening distraction will forgo that to get the headstart on foliage peeping...

With the surge that has to happen after a week-end it would seem logical that Fridays would be slower than earlier in the week.

now there's an analyst for you. so your theory goes that monday would be the heaviest day and then slowing down sequentially through the week?

I would bet it's heaviest during the middle of the week. Friday and Monday are probably slower and the weekends are probably the slowest.

Just a guess.

I hadn't noticed the Friday thing before, but will definitely agree that weekends are slower than weekdays. I suppose that says we're not all computer-tied, couch-potato losers on our own time, but are willing to spend time here in lieu of working during the week. :D

Actually, it'd be neato-torpedo to see the day-to-day, weekday-weekend, day-evening-night, etc. splits, now that we have that wonderful but completely incomprehensible stats page anyway. :stinker:
