To this day, I think I'm the only one that has all of Gary Myrick's LPs. Maybe besides his mom..............
Who's the one you listen to most that no one has probably heard?

Barkmarket.
Producer D. Sardy's "side-project". The best of the 4 albums is "Gimmick" but "Lard Room", "L-Ron", and "Peacemaker" are also fantastic. Always blaring from my stereo.

I have mentioned these guys before. The Mother Hips is one of the best Rock'n'Roll bands that no one has heard about. They have been around for about 10 years, have 5 albums out, but very few people east of the Rockies have heard of them. They have a huge following here in California.

Arson Garden
United States Three
(both met their demise)
Mysteries of Life
Doug and the Slugs
The Wildhearts, especially their debut album "Earth Versus the Wildhearts".
A band from the UK who keep splitting up and driving their small fanbase mental!
No idea if you can even get that album on import but it is one of the best debut albums by a British rock band since...............

Once upon a time I had their album "Cognac and Bologna". It must have gotten lost during the years I moved annually.

Everyone I listen to is pretty obscure. I suppose the most obscure are Hansel und Gretel, Beborn Beton and Suicide Commando.

I used to see those guys all the time while I was in college in Albany, NY. They rock. Last time I checked their site it seemed like they had split. It's hard to follow these things from 3000 miles away. :(

Pygmy Love Circus...
Their new album is OK I guess. But back in the day before their 2nd guitar player quit these guys could lay some serious pipe.
Their new album has Tool's drummer and I guess they've done some shows with him, but their best drummer was a dude named Anthony. He played with , I believe, Black Flag.He was a little guy but he had a right foot that could take your head off if you got too close.
Peter , the guitar player is a buddy of mine as well as a co-worker. So I have to say that up front. I only got to know him personally about 2 years ago.
They, by far are one of the hardest rocking bands to come out of Los Angeles.

Elvis Presley and the Beatles. Years ago, they played Austin's SXSW festival and tore the place up. Didn't last though. I think they had some copyright problems.
There was another band -- a guy, really -- I can't think of his name, but he put out some really deranged records with crank calls and mentally ill vocals included; this was years before Crank Yankers and the Jerky Boys. I had his only record and Karen made me sell it after the boys started listening to it and getting ideas.
Anyone remember this guy's name? All I recall is that he made a call to a funeral parlor, supposedly looking for work and one of his "songs" was a parody of "Going to the Chapel".

Probably Dust and Ashes, formerly a trio now a duo, out of Tennessee. Kind of a folksy sound.
I saw this one guy in a bar, terrific player and good singer, who played this instrument he made himself, basically made out of a stick which he bent and attached strings to, kind of like a bow (for arrows). An old mountain-type instrument, homemade. It was twangy sounding and really cool.

sweaver -- that almost sounds like Eugene Chadbourne, except he isn't a good singer. I think Mel Blanc does his voices for him.
Ol' Eugene has played the electric leaf rake and the electric birdcage from time to time, along with just about anything else you can think of that's made of metal and you can attach a pickup to.
I don't know if you'd consider him obscure though -- after all he DID phone in a guitar solo on a Camper van Beethoven album.

Wasn't Chadbourne--he's more like an experimental physicist. This guy made an instrument out of a stick and some string.

Common Ground.
Band out of Dayton, OH.
I was a pledge brother with the drummer. Modern/classic-type rock. Powered by tequila.

Somewhat Van Hagar-ish. Guitar-powered rock-n-roll.
As the furthest member of their email list (Dayton, OH to NC) my frat brutha got me a t-shirt emblazoned with their motto: "Powered by tequila."

Comes With The Fall
They're a three-piece band out of Atlanta, unsigned at the moment (by choice) but one of the best new rock bands around IMO. They've spent the last year or so playing in Jerry Cantrell's (of Alice In Chains) backing band, and will continue to play with him and open for him on the upcoming tour. I've met the band, corresponded through email, and besides being incredible musicians, they're great guys who are eager to interact with fans. I'd urge any fan of good Rock n' Roll to check them out at www.comeswiththefall.com.
