One of the best things, for me, about the NDF is that we have people from all over the place.................
...............but, that also means a greater chance that one of us could be exposed to something that the rest of us will not even be close to.............
Please, esp. today, everyone be careful. You never know. Anything can happen anywhere, at any time, to anyone.
Perhaps today 'tho, more than ever, be on the alert as to what's going on around you - - and make sure that you're safe - - - for you, as well as your loved ones.
The world has gone nuts. We should not forget that.
Again, please, everyone - have a safe day. Thanks.

You too Max!
The rest of us would be pretty bummed out if something happened to you!

Thanks for the kind thoughts...just make sure nothing happens to you, either....
My hearts sinks a little every time I think about the fact that I spent five nights in the Sheraton World Trade Center (12th floor) about thirteen months before the planes hit them.....

Yes, be careful but don't forget to love your fellow man.

"The organisers were unrepentant about describing the US attacks as “a towering day in history”, with posters showing the twin towers in flames plastered all around the mosque. "

fortunately, i'm away from the us at this time of the year again... last year was crazy. i was working in my hotel room with cnn on some sports update when they cut live to the towers shortly after plane 1. i was able to get a hold of my sister's roommate (they lived 4 blks from the wtc then) and determined my sis was safe on the other side of town...

Actually, gyb, I was worried about you over there. There were supposed to be some attacks planned for south Asia by extememists. Glad to see you on the board.

thanks sweav....i'm actually in southern africa now, and my route back to the us will come via a low profile route (swaziland - south africa - brasil - us), so i'm not too worried. if i'd be coming via europe, things would be different. though i'm always a bit concerned flying into DC. i'm used to living paranoid, though...

I'm not paranoid. I know for an absolute fact that everyone's out to get me.

:D
well, Lee, in SP that statement would be very appropriate, as the majority of people I know have been robbed/mugged/kidnapped at least once.
