Which player has been the biggest let down in the "power department" this season?
Which one did you vote for? Would you nominate someone else?

I absolutely, positively have to go with 'Other' in the form of Todd Zeile. This guy has gone from a 20+ a year guy to warning track power in one season. He has Ordonez-like pop in his bat.

Todd's lifetime SLG% is .434 - coming into this year. Really, all you can expect from him is 20 HR if he gets 600 PA.

That is my point. He is a 20 a year guy and has 5 (I think) this year. Believe me, I watch a lot of Met games. They guy has no pop left.

Can't hit without elbows:
Recent report off rotowire:
Zeile said he is still bothered by the sore left elbow he injured lifting weights two months ago, Newsday reports. That lingering condition could be causing him to roll over his top hand, making him drive the ball into the ground. But he's not sure that's the reason either. "My swing and impact feels good," Zeile said. "I'm getting myself into position to make good contact with the ball."
Report of 6/16/2001:
Doctors found a bone chip in Zeile's right elbow, Newsday reports. Zeile isn't sure how the elbow has affected his swing. "I've actually hit better since the pain got worse," he said. With a double in three at-bats Friday night, he is batting .367 with 11 RBIs since May 19. "But I'm just hitting line drives," he said. "Nothing in the air. My home runs are down, but so are my fly balls."
Note - it's the right and the left. That's bad.

I have heard all that and my reaction is that if it is true, then why the hell do they march him out there day in and day out to hit into DPs and lazy fly balls.
