Great historical books on the Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinals and Browns, written by Peter Golenbock. Cap Anson is one of my favorite players of the old days. Play for Chicago and managed later on and owned a team too. He is the George Washington of baseball players to me.

Thanks for that link. Great interview. We should be brothers. We have a lot in common it seems, except for liking Bobby Valentine lol If I could write any book it would be about the history of the Atlanta Braves. I did write about a 10,000 word article on the history of the Atlanta Braves. I have followed them since they came to Atlanta in 1966.

Wish I could sit down with Mr. Golenbock. I love baseball history probably more than him. I study it constantly. Who is the father of baseball. Not Abner Doubleday. It's Alexander Cartwright-he came up with most of baseball's rules.
