“Ted Williams’ Last Wish Fund” -- a fund to help cover the legal expenses incurred by Ted Williams’ first child, Bobby-Jo Williams Ferrell, in the current dispute over her father’s body -- has been established.
Bobby-Jo Williams Ferrell passionately believes that her father’s last wish was to be cremated and to have his “ashes sprinkled at sea off the coast of Florida where the water is very deep.” Ted Williams gave these precise instructions in his 1996 Will. Bobby-Jo wants the Will’s terms carried out because the Will exemplifies her father’s true desires, as he articulated them to her and many others during his lifetime, even as recently as several months ago. The Will excludes Bobby-Jo from Ted Williams’ estate, and she wants this provision enforced, too, because it is what her father wanted.
Unfortunately, the only way to be sure that Ted Williams’ last wish will be carried out is to present all the evidence and allow a court of law to decide. Bobby-Jo is resolved to uncover, investigate and present all relevant evidence to the court system and will abide by the ultimate decision, but the costs to do so will be substantial. Mr. and Mrs. Ferrell are a retired couple on a fixed income, and they need your help.
If you would like to see Ted Williams’ last wish carried out, please consider making a contribution to:
Ted Williams’ Last Wish Fund
P.O. Box 391441
Cambridge, MA 02139
Contributions will only be used to help defray legal fees and expenses which are being incurred in Bobby-Jo’s mission to carry out her father’s last wish. Any contributions not used for such legal costs will be donated directly to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute c/o The Jimmy Fund, Ted Williams’ favorite charity, at the conclusion of the court proceedings.
