Tough one. Obviously Bags is a lock, and even if Pudge's career was to end tomorrow, he'd be close based on his stellar years already.
Mussina and Williams will be two deserving ones that will have a much harder time - they'll eventually make it in, but neither one gets the attention (probably by their own design) that a Pudge Rodriguez gets.

Bernie and Mussina probably need 3 more good years each before folks start talking about it. Pudge, by virtue of being a catcher and a damn good one with the mitt, could start planning on it now.

I did not want to be the one to say it, but if Bernie calls it a career at the end of the season, there is no way he belongs in the hall. If he keeps performing at this level for a few more years, that changes my view altogether (I think).

I would have said it - by October, he'll just be around 200 HR and 900 RBI.
He needs to get to 300/1200 before you can even start to debate it. Right now, he's a non-issue.
