By way of introduction, I'm a native Texan who now calls Silverdale, WA home. I retired from the U.S. Navy in 1997 after a 21 year career. I really enjoy the Pacific Northwest - and of course I enjoy seeing baseball being played in the most beautiful ballpark in baseball (Safeco Field). We are also fortunate enough to have the Mariner's AAA team playing in Tacoma. I've been a baseball fan since I was a kid - saw a few games at Colt Stadium (while the Astrodome was still a big hole in the ground). It's a pleasure to be here.
Best regards, Terrence

Welcome indeed. We sometimes get into territory here where a veteran's input would be most valuable.

Welcome & Happy Posting!! :)
I'd like to see a game at Safeco sometime...tho I just can't get into the habit of calling stadiums by names like that. Heck, the "RCA" dome here in Indy where the Colts play is still the Hoosier Dome to me. :)

You are fortunate, baseball-wise, to live in that area. Safeco is easily the best of the stadiums at which I've watched games.

welcome terrence!!!
Hey Terrence - I dont know if this is welcome or not, but my Dad was career Navy (30 years I think). Of course we didn't get along at all. ;)
And I believe I used that exact quote in my tagline months ago. It is one of my favorites.
