hey folks

just wanted to get my first post out of the way :)

a little bit about myself; I'm a Yanks fan, going back to when they were trying to win with a staff that consisted of guys like Joe Cowley, Bob Shirley, Neil Allen, Ed Whitson, Steve Trout, etc :eek:

I've played the game up until the college level, my screenname should tell you how effective I was as a pitcher :D

Anyhoo, glad to be here, and I look forward to posting with you guys :cool:

BTW, you're not alone being scared by that crew - - - I can even still see some of the numbers on their backs, if I remember right..............Joe Cowley 41, Bob Shirley 29, Neil Allen 46, Ed Whitson 38..........

Hm - Just watch one of the 3,254,128 Braves games on TV each year (be sure to turn off the sound). Leo is the pitching coach that they cut to about every other inning and all it seems he does is rock back and forth on the bench... over and over and over and ....
