My real name is Johnny.
Fav team is the Yanks.
Found this from Lee's reports, which I found from Gammons.
I enjoy the lessons I learn from everyone, especially concerning history about guys I am too young to have seen or remember, and the humor.
I have a beautiful 10 year old daughter who will be playing baseball in a girl's league next year. My lifetime goal is to carve in marble (I work with softer stones and metals now).
Just got home to Va Beach!!:)

Ogling will never get old, Moose. As I told one now former girlfriend, the minute I stop looking is when they put me in the ground. :D

You know, I tried to tie my son's right arm to his waist when he was a little guy but it didn't work. I wanted him to be a lefty so he could make some money as a situational lefty.;)
Stupid right handed genes!.:homer:

she swings a bat lefty, throws righty...just natural for her (weird though)...strong but erratic arm...she might make a decent 1B (she is already about 4'10")..and without any influence from me, she is a Yankees fan (I'm so proud :))

B/L, T/R is the perfect combo for a player, IMHO.

4' 10" @ 10? What are you feeding her! ;)

I hadn't noticed this until CP asked (and I'll let Johnny explain), but, if I may add...

"MY GOD!! That's....that's Jeff Hardy's music!!! What is he doing here?!?!? He'll be BROKEN IN HALF!!! MY GOD!!!"

Good ole JR... :D

I am a fan of the soap opera known as the WWE. Jeff Hardy (and his brother Matt) are faces (good guys). Their gimmick is being rock-n-roll guys, living for the moment. They are THE daredevils of the, uh..."sport".
Jeff's "finisher" (his knockout move), is a swanton. he climbs to the top of the ropes when his opponent is lying down in the ring, and Jeff does a forward flip, landing on his back on his opponent. (And man, does he FLY through the air! He does swantons from the top of 20' ladders, on to a guy lying on a table outside the ring. Fake or not, the guy puts his body on the line.) He is a small guy, too.

As soxfan just said, the announcer, JR, usually calls Jeff's move like that.

To see a mid-swanton shot, check out http://raw.wwe.com/superstars/hardy_j/24.html#

Soxfan, you made me laugh so hard I cried seeing your post. :loud:

Man.. sometimes I feel like I'm 24 going on 68. Geez, am I out of the loop.

Heh - the last wrestling events I went to were the old "Survivor Series" down at Richfield Coliseum. 5-on-5 tag team and 10-on-10 tag team matchups. Great fun. I stopped watching one day, and just never watched again....

Johnny, as if you couldn't tell, I am also a fan of the "male soap opera" known as professional wrestling, or "sports entertainment". Love it...and I can explain why, but I'll start a thread on it to do so.

Meanwhile, Jeff (and Matt) are partially responsible for two of the greatest matches in WWE history: the TLC matches with Edge, Christian, and the Dudleyz. TLC 2, when Jeff hit the swanton off the top rung of the 20' foot ladder onto Rhyno and Spike was one of the most spectacular moves I've ever seen. Then, to take the spear from Edge while *hanging* from the belt in mid-air was one of the best bumps I've ever seen. Jeff needs to slow down if he wants to walk after age 40, but he is a great high-spot performer.

And I love JR... "MY GOD!!! What a slobberknocker!!!" :D

That match was one of the best I have ever seen. My roomie and I used to throw "RAW" parties every Monday, with about 20 big fans in the house crowded around the big-screen. When someone new would come over and laugh at us for watching it, we would pop in the tape of that match, and more than likely they wanted to see more.

I almost made the slobberknocker quote my tagline. That is one of my favorite words. Always makes me laugh.:p

If I drink Southern Comfort you'd better have a bucket handy, 'cause I'll hurl. I can't drink that sugar water anymore.
The hangovers from that stuff are God's way of saying, " What the hell were you thinking?"

Geez Smed, you better keep looking behind you if you insist on teasing the wrestling fans in the house...otherwise, this steel chair I'm carrying around has your name all over it, pal. ;)

If you hit me with the steel chair, and I choose not to play along, is your silly little play-acting over, and then can I get back to doing something important??? :p
