So if you're a Yankee fan, why is Pujols your avatar?

The guy could hit a line drive from a wheelchair.
His "voice" sort of reminds you of Marge Schott too.

To answer the original question from sweaver, Pujols is my avatar because I happened to see him play in the Arizona Fall League prior to his big rookie season last year. He made a very good impression on me with both his hitting and fielding at 3B and I happened to end up in line at the concession stand at that game behind Cards GM Walt Jocketty. I knew it was him because I heard someone else introduce him to some other people just after he got out of line.
Anyway, within a week, the Cards traded Tatis to the Expos and I knew that Jocketty was pretty high on Pujols. Of course, grabbing him in my minor league draft for one of my fantasy teams last year was the creme de la creme.
I also tend to like a lot of the Hispanic players because I am half Cuban. (No relation to Mavs owner Mark.) Even with all the time Raffy Palmeiro spent with the Os, I always had a lot of respect for him as a ballplayer.
Most importantly, though, I like players that love the game to the point that you can see it when you see them play. To me, that is the mark of good ballplayer.

I'm surprised no one has asked for an Alfred E. Newman avatar...
...or Morrissey....
