Will he go to Oklahoma City?
Will he finally work out his problems?
Will anyone care, eventually?

I cannot believe I'm saying this but I'm beginning to feel bad for the guy.

Seriously, I'd like to know whats up with Rocker. Is it mechanics? Has he been overwhelmed by the negativism? Was he not that good to start with? I hate to see a seemingly talented guy lose it like this, regardless of all the baggage.

He's lefthanded, and he throws hard. He'll be around as long as he wants to be, and keep getting chances until his arm falls off.

His control left him, and now Texas has made him throw a slider instead of a curve, and he's having issues.

Definitely. And I really think that it has to take a mental (and hence physical) toll on you to be essentially hated by the entire fan base of a major sport. I believe that Rocker didn't mean those comments in nearly the mean spirit in which he said them (I'm not talking about their worth, i mean I don't think the guy thought he was necessarily saying anything that bad (which is the real problem, of course)), and now to be hated around the country, well, that's tough.

I'm not saying I feel for the guy, but I have to believe it has affected his pitching.

Or, as some have speculated, all that extra bulk he put on reduced his flexibility and took a couple mph off his fastball.

The guy looks more like a DB than a RP right now.

I think that Rocker needs to take a year off from baseball, gain some composure, and then start over in a small market where nobody shows up to home games. I'm afraid Rocker could end up being the newest case of spontaneous human combustion if he doesn't.
I don't like Rocker...and not because of his comments (I will not comment on the comments because it may get me blacklisted), he's just not trying to make himself better, he's letting this anger take control and hitters are taking advantage of it. He should take a year off, relax, possibly film the sequel to the Greenskeeper ( ), and in time, we might actually talk about his pitching again.
Then again, I'm the only guy who'll get sympathetic about Rocker. I'm not right. :dizzy:
