Does anyone have an opinion on Stats' electronic versions of their publications? I was going to order Sickel's Minor League scouting book and was wondering if I should try the paperless way.

I'll probably go with the physical version anyway but if others have been happy with paperless maybe I'll take a shot at it.

I'd probably end up printing it out anyway or put it on my palm 3C (I have an Adobe reader for it)

I've always rather had a book in print edition.
That way, they fill up bookcases and look nice. It also makes you look extra-smart if you have dozens of books lying around.;)
Also, I think it's easier sometimes to carry a book with you (well not with you, since you have a palm 3c), since it's somewhat hard to carry my computer around.

Some of the lower-selling Stats books this year are only e-books.

Saves on paper, I guess.

Do you have a list of the ones they're only doing as e-books?
I don't read that many STATS books, but I pick them every now and then. (what ever happened to that batter vs. pitcher book that was long and skinny?)
I'm more of a Sporting News kinda guy.

My take on e-books in general - - - - -
ever lose a file or have your hard drive crash? I have.

I have never lost a book (that I've never lent out) nor has my bookcase ever crashed.

If it's something that you want to have for a while, I would suggest going with the real books.

Thanks for all the input. I like the physical book concept better and I'll get that. Just seeing if anyone had actually gotten the electronics version of one.

My bookcase has crashed. Of course, I have cats.
