Here's another instance where a "family leave" provision could have helped the M's and done the right thing for a player. Instead, it leaves the M's a player short. Obviously Sasaki has quite pressing business. (I really don't think it's filming another episode of the Iron Chef...)
I can't find the thread we discussed this before....

Wow, that puts them in a bind. They avoided things like this last year.

I don't think he'll be gone for long and Hasegawa and Rhodes definitely can do the job. Bad Timing though because Nelson is out too.

I wonder what would happen if a ballplayer tried to invoke the FMLA. I guess not many of them would because it would be unpaid.

Sasaki's back with the M's. His wife was ill. But then he also signed an extension with the M's the same day he announced his return, and claimed A had nothing to do with B.
I believe him....
