..............will be over is just 9 more days.

May 3, 2002. Finally, it will be here. After hearing about it, and hoping, for over 30 years.

Any guesses?

I thought Kevin Bacon was the Buzzard look-alike? Kevin Bacon? No, but I would take his wife. Something about her, oofah!

I'll tell you this. People say you look like someone and the person that is being said of generally doesn't see it. I see Tobey and it is like I am looking right in the mirror. It is frightening and really freaks me out. Could be my co-joined twin. It is that close.

Who?

Back in 1992, when I was a wild and single 26 to 27 year old, I had a real short haircut, and shambled around in either a jean jacket, a biker jacket, or some t-shirt with an ironic smart-ass saying or an obscure alt-rock band, and mostly wore a baseball cap with my glasses (I got a Rockies hat when they first came out in 1992, so it had to be that one).

Many people said I resembled Michael Stipe; especially from the nose down. My nose, mouth and chine were dead-on, they said.

Now is that a compliment??

I think the original green goblin was there{if you remember HOW he became the green goblin}, some of those Marvelpeople were pretty cranked...and were fun and tremendously funny, and had some extraordianry costumes

The gal they are using for MJ doesn't quite measure up to the drawing.

I too have been looking forward to the Spidey movie, but my take on the trailers and ads is that it will be a disappointment. I hope I am wrong, but Spidey needs character development and not just FX, and nothing I've seen so far leads me to believe there will be much of that.

Sadly Skip, I have the same take/feeling.

Spider-Man, Spider-Man, does whatever a spider can.....
Spins a web, any size...

They are supposedly taking the "science nerd" out of Peter Parker...his web-shooters are to be part of him, rather than something he makes himself. A bit of a disappointment for me, takes away some of the ingenuity of the character. I must say, though, Tobey McGuire looks the part to me.

We're still talking contract Skip!

sweaver - that was a biggie a while back - I think they settled on shooters - - too, way too, many people pissed on that rumor. We'll soon see.

Slip's viewing experience will be ruined, I'm sure, as he will only be able to think of Buzz Buzzard throughout the entire film.

And, the ruined viewing will be followed by weeks of nightmares. Trust me. Damn Buzzard.

"Organic" web-shooters. It was in both TV Guide and Entertainment Weekly this week in their previews. I'm disappointed, but it can still work.

BTW, why is TV Guide running so many articles about current movies? I know they will get to TV eventually, but still....

I think Star Wars is mid to late May. Spidey better make a ton of money fast! Like it or not, Star Wars will be killer for several weeks.
