You see the number and the first thoughts are what it is - - without haste - -

Aaron, Rose, Bonds, Brock, Gehrig, Young, Ryan, Thigpen.

I think baseball is the only sport this works with - - - anything that comes to your mind?

.406
1.18
.301

You see the man/record without even thinking, no?

56
1919

just about every number "that is" has a baseball connection to me. How about you?

Fritz,

why Brock and Gehrig and not Henderson and Wilson??

Just me - - I grew up on 118 - not 130. The Wilson thing, I lost the feel for it when they gave him one more to make it 191. Again, I grew up on a different number.

Here's another number 26 - - betcha you guys all know what that is!

That's Anthony Young's losing streak, right?
Man, if there was an anti-NetShrine, him and Terry Felton would be the inaugural picks. :p

Many rings.

I like this thread.

All my pin nimubers and security codes are based on numbers in baseball.

I was at ST last year and saw two legends standing together with their backs to each other and my wife says, "Honey, look. It's your ATM code"

I think the .301 is Yaz (lowest batting title), and the other is Gibson for lowest ERA?

Gibby was 1.12.

My number is 134, and 40 of 41.

You're welcome, and remember, the 7 o'clock show is completely different from the 5 o'clock show...:jester:

Not quite.

134 - number of losses by the Cleveland Spiders in 1899.

40 of 41 - number of games they lost to end the season.

I wonder how THAT clubhouse was?

No chemistry. Absolutely none.

I heard they didn't have any bona-fide clutch hitters, or proven veterans, nor a "closer".

Not even a real "gamer" for the "fellas" to rally behind. Sad times.
