I love polls. This is the old question: Who is the best player ever. Because the comparison is so difficult, I'm going to exclude pitchers from the discussion. I'm going to provide the best options possible and leave an "other" to let you make a type-in vote.

My vote goes to Babe Ruth. An awesome batting average, the best home run hitter of all time, a hall of fame-caliber pitcher, a decent runner and fielder, and a guy who left a whole lot of shell-shocked pitchers behind.

Then, when asked who was the best position player, your answer should have been Traci Lords.

I can't vote for her because she did not qualify. You forget the technicality that she failed to meet the minimum age requirements when doing her best work. If anything, I can only acknowledge her with an '*'.

You guys are too damn much this morning.

I voted for Ruth, for all the reasons listed above.

And for the record, I prefer Chex, too. Wheat, the most, with lots of sugar.
