Auker was a side arm pitcher for the Tigers, Red Sox and others in the 1930s. He was teammates with some of the best players of all-time and has an interesting slant on a lot of events in baseball history.

His story about why Ted Williams had so much trouble with the Boston is very interesting. He was also friends with Babe Ruth and had some interesting experiences after he left the game.

It is a very easy and quick read with lots of insights about how players lived and played back in that era.
