This may just be wishful thinking - but...................

I was talking to the VP of Ticket Sales for the Yankees today (trying to upgrade the location of my season tickets) and I asked (just making conversation):

Are they going to jerk us around this year, and are we going to miss any games at the start of the year, or is everything going to start on schedule?

His reply:

They're not going to miss any games.

<fingers crossed> Let's hope he's right and not just trying to shut up my whining. </fingers crossed>

XD - did you expect an honest answer to that question from the VP of ticket sales? He may be right, who knows, but I wouldn't take his word to the back.

I know that he has to say something good - - but, I wanted to hear him say it anyway - - and, for what it's worth, there was no hesitation on his part, no waivering in his tone, he didn't pause or fumble his words, and he said it with some conviction behind it.

Any one of those going the opposite way would have given me reason to question it.

Besides, I've talked to this guy about 6 times in the last two years - - he seems like a pretty straight shooter. I think if there was some risk or doubt on his side, he would have said something like "I hope so" or "We're counting on it" instead of "They're not going to miss any games."

Did you get the upgrade?

I'm 0 for 2 on my attempts there - - each time, they wanted to move me further away from the INF to get closer to the field - - - like, move out 16 seats to move up one row. Pass.
