Has anyone read the book by Craig Wright and Tom House?
Anything you can share?

Yes. It was the first book that talks about pitch counts, though when it was written they didn't closely track pitch counts.
Some good back and forth between a sabermatrician and an athlete / coach on many subjects, but House was never really "old school", so he's more open to new thought.

Thanks Smed. Is it an easy read - - or, like a math text book?

It's been a while since I read it. I read it when it first came out, which had to be in the mid 1980s.
But, as I recall, it was an easy read and definitely enjoyable.

No heavy lifting involved, you can whip through it pretty easily.

Has anyone read this master work? Its an indispensable part of my baseball education ... each time I re-read it, I learn something new. My copy is battered from lending it to kids I work with.

I have a copy of it at home, but I probably haven't read it in close to ten years. It is a great book, though......

THE DIAMOND APPRAISED was a pioneering work. Not only was it the first book to speak about pitch counts, but it also was the first time I saw the issue of overworking young arms discussed in detail. It's an easy read, and well worth a search to find it
It's been a while since I read this book. But I did enjoy it. What I remember most was Wright criticizing the selfishness of Pete Rose in his pursuit of the all-time hit record.
