It's the one hit to me that may set it apart from the rest, but whatr I noticed is that Clemens is the only one to do it at the oposing field.
While thios may in fact be a motivation to a guy like Clemens, it sets that one apart from the rest.
Also, while I can't say any one of them was a fluke, lemme see one of the others do it twice.
The 16 inning game in '62 (Cheney?) how many of the 21 K's came after the ninth?

All 4 of those games no walks and the strike & ball
ratio 3 to 1.
I'll pick Kerry Wood because he was so young and
inexperience at the time but shown so much poise.

Wood faced the best line-up too. Killer B's et al.
Chris - Cheney had 13 Ks after 9 IP. Got # 21 in the 16th.
Game was won (2 to 1) on a HR hit by Bud Zipfel. Now, there's a name!

No backlash about Alias's mistake in putting the game into the record books incorrectly. Was I the only one pissed because Alias thought it belonged in the 'over 9 inning' category?

Sorry - I started with the older stuff first and just saw the poll.

Elias' point - - if we include Randy's game - - then the record is "Most Ks, SP one game" which then cuts out Wood and Rocket - and gives Cheney the record alone.
Seems like they want to protect Clemens and Wood - - but don't care about Randy................
