BTW, I also recommend another book - - one I got for X-mas - - "Baseball, A Celebration!" by James Buckley Jr. & Jim Gigliotti - - - - it's all pictures, but, great, great pictures (if that's your thing).

Which eras were photographed? I hope it's b&w, since I prefer that over color. Can you tell us more about the pix?

It has 700 pix - - spaning from 1845 to 2001.

It's the best book of its kind - that I've seen. I should add that it's $50.

I'll wait until the next rent's paid before I can do this, since I've got a few others I've just bought but either haven't received yet or haven't fully read. But it does sound very interesting.

I love baseball photography. Thanks for the tip, Net - I've got to check this book out. Right now when I want pictures I flip through the Ken Burns book.

Satch - - you will enjoy this book - - I've now gone through the whole thing twice. Fun stuff.
