Who is your 2007 winner, and why?

Braves
Because they're good enough, they're smart enough, and gosh darn it, people like them.
OK, really, I think they're a good team with some good talent. And none of the others really impress me other than maybe Florida, but I'm not willing to give my vote to the young'ins yet.

The Braves still have their streak going, so it's tempting to just continue to pick them.
If either the Montreal Expos or the Selig Vacants winning the division title in 1994 didn't end the streak, then it can't be said that the New York Mets could end the streak.

The Braves will win. The centerfileder is in a contract year and they have a great bullpen.

i know everyone is picking the mets and phils, but i don't think their hitting will overcome their icky pitching and the marlins will win.

This is the best reasoning behind a pick that I've ever seen. Is it too late to change my answer?

Mets. They have pitching issues, but will be able to bludgeon their way to enough victories with their hitting to win the division.

saying mets have pitching issues is the understatement of the year.
now their defense except for alou and green looks very good, so it won't be entirely like cleveland last year. but you have to have a whole lot of hitting to overcome such bad pitching and believe it or not, there really ARE some good pitchers in the NL, despite all the prejudice from all the redsox/yankee fans at espn
