there have been about 850 batters to accumulate 5000 PA, the number I use for comparing players on average-based numbers
among them, Cramer ranks 196th in career average
that means he was better than average, but not fantastic
in OBA, he ranks 524th
in slugging, he ranks 636
in OPS, 626
in other words, he could hit singles, but he couldn't get on base any other way
definitely a no

Those rankings are actually generous to Cramer, since they take his era inflated numbers at face value.

OBA, 701st

Cramer had the advantage of playing in the 1930's and through the war years. His OPS+ of 87 tells you he was a weak offensive player despite "pounding out" 2700+ hits. He was a stellar CF, though. His WARP3 is less than 50, though.
