I have to preface this with a confession. I watch no basketball - - just about zero - - esp. the NBA. So, I'm as smart as a three year old when it comes to hoops.

But, I do watch SportsCenter during the baseball season, so, I do pick up some stuff about other sports by accident, incl. hoops.

Today, by chance, I caught a few seconds of the NBA (Wizards-Bulls) pre-grame on NBC.

Isn't the guy next to Fratello at the desk the owner of the 76ers? Or, at least, wasn't he the owner?

I know a million years ago, Bill Veeck did some TV work - - - but, besides that, how many owners (or former owners) end up on the broadcast side? Anyone know of any?

That was probably Pat Croce. I know he was the President of the 76ers before retiring but I'm pretty sure he didn't have a significant, if any, percentage of the team.
