Smoky Joe Wood is one of those players whose legend greatly accedes their accomplishments. I think it was Walter Johnson when asked about who threw harder him or Wood said, "Mister, nobody throws harder than Smoky Joe Wood". He had accumulated 125 RSAA through age 22. That is certainly the start of a HoF career. Arm injuries derailed his pitching career and he finished with 154 RSAA. He was done as pitcher after his age 25 season.

He then made a modest transformation into an OFer and was able to hang around another 5 seasons accumulating 1450AB's and an RCAA of 29.

While he is marginal, I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt.

in a scant 218 games and 1419 IP for the BoSox, Wood managed to rack up 159 RSAA
That's 7th all-time for the Red Sox, and that's pretty damn impressive
I'm gonna say yes

The volume of stories should tell you to vote yes.
