No question about it, yes
667 career RCAA is 29th best all-time
10 years of 40+ RCAA is 16th best all-time
if the war years of 1943-1945 are thrown out, those 10 years came in a row, something accomplished only by 11 other individuals, and only 8 others not including the 19th century

May well be the best player that BBWAA had a chance to elect to the HoF and missed.

Mize is thisclose to being an Inner Circle guy... a strong yes for one of the All-Time Best. And he gets bonus "Manny Mota points" for helping the Yanks off the bench late in his career...
