Well, sure. But that said, he is often ranked too high. He does not hit like you would like your right fielder to hit, and he throws like you would want your shortstop to throw (or first baseman for you Keith Hernandez fans). His high average is even more impressive if you consider WHEN he played. His walk rate was low, but his OBP is still relatively high thanks to the batting average. His stats look like Al Kaline's, but they did not look the same on the field. His is an odd case, but anyone who speaks poorly of him is branded a fool, so he is ranked too high more often than not. If you choose the top ten (or so) right fielders of all time, his stats would stick out against the rest, save for Tony Gwynn. It's hard to hold up Clemente's stats to Winfield and Reggie Jackson, but that is what we have.....
