I've got the Baseball Jones today, so, I keep this going in my head to ease the pain - - feel free to sing-a-long with me, albeit even just in your head too.
Katie Casey was baseball mad,
Had the fever and had it bad;
Just to root for the home town crew,
ev'ry sou -- Katie blew --
On a Saturday, her young beau called
to see if she if she'd like to go,
To see a show but Miss Kate said "no,
I'll tell your what you can do:" --
Take me out to the ball game,
Take me out with the crowd --
Buy me some peanuts and cracker jack,
I don't care if I never come back,
Let me root, root for the home team,
If they don't win it's a shame --
For it's one, two, three strikes, you're out,
at the old ball game.

Hey, I didn't pen that intro, ya know, it's the original way that it was written.
Sure. I didnt know that.
Next thing you'll tell us is that the last line of the National Anthem isnt "Play Ball"

Well, yes, but the song's intended usage of the word "blew" is still in the language, as in "I got my paycheck friday, but I blew it all on baseball cards."

That's understood. I was just making a play with sou (a french coin - thus she blew every sou) and soul.

My comment was directed at Net, who said the language has changed. I was simply saying it might not have. For all I knew, your double-entendre usage of "blew" was present in the language a century ago. People were pretty raunchy then too!
