Steve, is that a guess? Because if so, it's a good one.

The original Stadium built in '22 only had the grandstand out to the foul lines. The grandstand with the 3 decks was built in left field in the late 20's. The one in right field wasn't built until 1937, after Ruth had retired, so he never had a chance to hit an upper decker over the porch.
