Depending on how you want to torture the numbers, Morgan is ranked 1st to 4th amongst 2B's all-time.

663 career RCAA
663,663 career SCAA (stupid comments above average)

The former trumps the latter.

Joe Morgan = The John Madden of baseball announcing?

His on-field numbers outweigh his broadcasting flaws.

A big yes vote.

Re Boomer's comments, I'd put him No. 1. 1972-77, he finished 6, 4, 2, 1, 1, 8 in park-adjusted OPS. That'd be good for a corner outfielder; Morgan was a top-flight second baseman as well. Eddie Collins never had a streak anywhere as good as that. Hornsby, of course, did, but he was a lousy fielder. Plus, Hornsby played over 115 games in just 12 seasons; Morgan had 18 such seasons, including his last, at age 40.
