I have never been a Slaughter fan, but that may well be because I saw him play in the twilight of his career. His negative involvement in Jackie Robinson's entry in to the game is not something to overlook. A grudging yes.

Pretty fair ballplayer. Boomer makes a good point about his reaction to Robinson, but then, we're all going to vote for Cobb. Was very good for a long time. Might've been great had he not lost his age 27-29 seasons to WWII.
