Nehf benefitted greatly from playing on good teams, His 184-120 W-L record shrinks to 159-145 under SNWL. His RCAA of 42 indicates he was basically an average pitcher. His five-year peak was only 51 RCAA. Nothing special in that by any means. His career icludes a number of high points, including hurling 20 consecutive scoreless innings in one game.

Pass. Park-adjusted ERA was 10% better than the league only 4 times in the 11 years he qualified for the ERA title. Frame of reference: Pedro Martinez has performed at that level every year of his career. Mel Stottlemyre was there 6 of his 9 seasons as a starter. Bert Blyleven, 14 of 17. David Wells is 6 of 13.
